Everyone is invited to participate in a common nighthawk survey. \u00a0This is the first of what will become an annual event, coordinated by the Landbirds at Risk Project of Dalhousie University and collaborating with the Mersey-Tobeatic Research Institute.<\/p>\n
The survey runs any evening between June 5 and June 12, between 8:30- and 10:00 P.M., and consists of reporting every common nighthawk detection and filling out a habitat data sheet. \u00a0the survey location is very broad: \u00a0wherever a nighthawk is likely to be or has been seen before. \u00a0It could even be off your cottage porch and\/or over a lake!<\/p>\n
