{"id":484,"date":"2011-05-07T13:03:29","date_gmt":"2011-05-07T16:03:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.trepa.org\/?p=484"},"modified":"2011-05-07T13:03:29","modified_gmt":"2011-05-07T16:03:29","slug":"trepa-in-the-gardens","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.trepa.org\/?p=484","title":{"rendered":"TREPA in the gardens"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>TREPA<\/strong> is remaining active in Yarmouth&#8217;s community gardens with members of our board Margrit Robinson and Dan Earle helping as they can.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Parents&#8217; Place:<\/strong> The Tricounty Local Food Network, with Margrit as the TREPA representative, with funds from \u201cNew Horizon\u201d, is helping to restore the water supply system. Water is collected from an adjacent roof and stored in tanks for use. Dan has been helping with tilling and grass trimming.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Fence repairs and general maintenance after the winter are needed. \u00a0Some beds have been spoken for already. \u00a0A senior is required to teach some children who are taking the cooking classes to grow vegetables. \u00a0One bed is reserved for them. \u00a0No senior has been found yet to teach. Additional help and suggestions are welcome.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>South Cenntenial School:<\/strong> There are plans to build a boxed, raised bed to grow radishes and carrots this summer, then collect eelgrass into the box and grow potatoes in it next summer.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TREPA is remaining active in Yarmouth&#8217;s community gardens with members of our board Margrit Robinson and Dan Earle helping as they can.
